We believe in the value of vibrant neighbourhoods and thriving communities, so we give back
Since its founding in 2000, Quantum Properties and its people have supported many local and regional non-profit organizations, focusing on the communities where we work. Scroll down to read about our commitment to community. And be sure to read our News page for the latest updates.
Some of our recent contributions include
Habitat for Humanity
— Coquitlam Townhouse Project
We look forward to helping Habitat for Humanity raise funds to provide stable and secure housing for 40 families in their upcoming townhouse project in Coquitlam. Quantum donated $100,000 to the project and the internal roadway will be named Quantum Way. We are committed to raising another $100,000 by rallying others — including our trades, partners, colleagues, and friends.
Port Coquitlam Community Foundation
— Circle of Friends Yearly Giving
The PoCo Community Foundation serves residents by working with local organizations and providing grants where support is needed. As a developer and builder in Port Coquitlam, we are proud to continue our support of the Foundation’s important work by becoming their first member of the Circle of Friends Yearly Giving Program, with an initial donation of $20,000.
Abbotsford Canuck Place Children’s Hospice
— Heart of the Home Wing
Quantum Properties donated $272,000 to the 30,000-square-foot Canuck Place Children’s Hospice development, where guests can visit the Quantum Properties Heart of the Home wing. Funds for the donation came from Mahogany at Mill Lake and The Onyx at Mahogany condo sales.
Abbotsford Canuck Place, along with Abbotsford Hospice and Matthew’s House comprise the Abbotsford Campus of Care.
Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre
— Cardiac Care Patient Room
Quantum Properties provided a $25,000 gift to the Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre, which went towards funding a patient room in the cardiac care section of the hospital.
Hawthorne Seniors Care Community
–– Growing Our Care Capital Campaign
Quantum Properties donated $100,000 to the Hawthorne Growing Our Care capital campaign, which raised funds for an extensive renovation project at Hawthorne Lodge in Port Coquitlam. The Quantum donation sponsored the new Arbutus House wing. Construction was completed in 2019.
University of the Fraser Valley
— Annual Scholarship for Women in the Faculty of Trades & Technology
— Annual Scholarship for Women in the Discovery Trades Program
Two $1,000 Quantum Properties scholarships are awarded annually at UFV. Both scholarships are important contributions to encourage more women, an under-represented and under-tapped demographic, to enter the construction industry. One scholarship goes to a female enrolled in a non-traditional trades program; the other provides a unique opportunity for women to explore a variety of trades and acquire basic skills that will prove fundamental if they decide to become tradespeople.

Abbotsford Hospice Society
— Holmberg House
Quantum Properties continues its long tradition of supporting Abbotsford Hospice Society. In 2016 we were selected to finish the interior of Holmberg House. Upon completion we donated $165,000 for the Quantum Room.
Quantum also supports Abbotsford Hospice through sponsorships of their annual gala and other events.
